Leslie Sorg Ramsay

It's Mine
It's Mine, Oil, Sold

Leslie Sorg Ramsay was born into an artistic family on Long Island, New York.  In addition to corporate executives, many relatives  included musicians, singers, actors, writers, a composer, a professional chef, and visual artists.

Although steered into non-arts work to better support herself, Leslie naturally evolved into creative roles in communications and marketing.

To satisfy her strong visual aptitude for color and design during her decades-long career, she designed and wrote promotional and marketing materials.  After hours, she created custom clothes and home furnishings.

When Leslie started exhibiting her oil paintings in 2006, it was a natural evolution.

Since 2006, many of her paintings have been recognized for Awards of Excellence.  In 2020, she was awarded two (2) Best of Show Awards - for metal sculpture, "Princess & The Pea," and abstract painting, "Heat."

Her vision continues to evolve. Her first  teachers shaped a solid foundation.  Gladys Kazigian, an accomplished NY/DC portrait artist, and Dick Swartz, a multitalented artist whose art ranges from the human figure to murals.  Since moving to Prescott, Arizona, Leslie has continued learning from many talented artists at Yavapai College classes, workshops and hundreds of YouTube tutorials.
